Halloween Pendants!

Yay for Halloween!!!
I tried my hand at making a few polymer clay pendants; I really like how the pendant on this Spooky Night Necklace turned out!

I also made a smaller Halloween pendant, which I hung on a cute ribbon. My October 31st Necklace.

New earrings

So I started making this complicated pair of earrings and hated them once I got the two separate components finished and laid out next to one another.
But the nice thing is that - alone - I love how these White Oleander Earrings came out!

So what if it's only September...

Adorable! This Little Lion Costume by babaialainn was in the Etsy Kids Contest. I'm not sure if it won, but it's so cute!

Costumes are so fun!

So this year we have a friend hosting a superhero costume party, as his birthday falls right before Halloween. So, of course, I'm trying to come up with something really cool and unique. I really want a costume that no one else there will have.
I was brainstorming a bit at work with my friend, and came up with a few cool ideas.
I really like the idea of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (she's a superhero...sort of... well I get to have cool stakes! So there!) with the cheerleading costume and a belt of wooden stakes.
Then my friend suggested Ghost, who I had never heard of... But this costume could be so great.
I did always like Jean Grey, though. But the costume doesn't look very original...
Or maybe.... Captain Planet! Earth! Wind! Fire! Water!
What do you think? I can't decide!

The hunt is on...

My new husband and I are in the long and time-consuming process of signing our lives away buying a house. In my creative retaliation to all of the paperwork, I've been planning my "colors" and design schemes. I've been looking on etsy and in stores, not to mention borrowing about 100 of my mom's BH&G, Martha Stewert Living and Sunset magazines.

Now I wish I had 11 living rooms. There are just so many awesome things out there!

So since I can't have everything (*le sigh*), I'm going to show off some of these pretties here. =)

I LOVE this pretty Dingle Table by deliafurniture. They also make beautiful steel bed frames.
I'm really intrigued by this decal idea. I think it could be a cheap way to really spruce up a room. Paisley Swirls by DaliDecals is one I adore.
*Sigh* If only I lived in Texas... I love this Vintage Black and White Sofa from sprucehome.
So beautiful! This Sage Sparrow Duvet Set by NightByrd is just what I had in mind for our bedroom!
I've been lusting after this table for ages! Isn't it wonderful? les paul table by TimothyAdamDesigns.
So that's about all I'm up to at the moment. =) I tend to get into "ruts" with what I am interested in; some weeks it's furniture, some paint, some flowers and plants. I intend to keep posting, so keep an eye out for new stuff!
